Longtime funder Marta Heflin Foundation has once again awarded PAWS NY a $10,000 grant, which will support the organization’s Pet Pantry and Veterinary Care Program. In 2018, the Foundation became the inaugural funder of the PAWS NY Foster & Emergency Care Program, which has since grown and expanded, and is now fully funded by PetSmart Charities.

PAWS NY Receives $5,000 from the Emma Barnsley Foundation

The Emma Barnsley Foundation awarded PAWS NY a $5,000 grant to support the organization’s Veterinary Care Program.

Thanks to funders like the Emma Barnsley Foundation, PAWS NY is able to coordinate visits and provide funds each calendar year to every pet in our program. Additionally, our veterinary partners play a major role within this program, providing discounted services and visiting clients at home.

PAWS NY Receives $10,000 Renewal Grant from Banfield Charitable Trust!

PAWS NY is thrilled to announce that Banfield Charitable Trust has renewed its support with a $10,000 grant to go toward its Veterinary Care Program. At PAWS NY, we strongly believe that no pet should go without basic veterinary care simply because of the physical and financial obstacles their guardian faces. Renewed support from Banfield Charitable Trust will make this possible by allowing us to enhance our impact by providing veterinary care for our clients’ pets.

The goal of our PAWS NY Veterinary Care Program is to ensure that our clients’ pets receive the medical care they deserve by providing financial assistance for annual wellness exams and legally required vaccinations, as well as for certain medical emergencies. Veterinary care is an important element in maximizing the time our clients and their pets can spend together. It allows us to catch early signs of illness, and to help combat potential health issues that can ultimately lead to a longer, healthier, and happier life for the pet and guardian. These animals would otherwise go without important and often life-saving medical care.

The impact of Banfield Charitable Trust’s funding will be enhanced thanks to partner vets Riverside Animal Hospital on W. 108th Street, St. Marks Veterinary Hospital, and Vetcierge, each of which provides us with a generous discount toward their services.
