In this workshop (full video below), Laisuna Yu spoke about the definition of Dog Cognition and walked participants through a playful experiment with their pups, all with the goal of helping understand dogs’ perspectives. This can create stronger bonds, better training sessions, address behavioral issues, and more.

The Imperial Court of NY (ICNY), a social, fundraising organization that has raised millions of dollars for social service and health support organizations, is hosting a virtual photo competition with all proceeds benefiting PAWS NY!

Project Dogs on the Runway features two categories: “Royal Pooch,” encouraging a blinged-out costume for your pup; and “Mommy / Daddy Dearest,” a look-alike contest featuring you & your furry friend. All are welcome to submit photos in these two categories, with a $5 donation per submission.

Participants can submit photos from now until Sunday, October 4, and then voting will run from Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 25. For every $5 donation, individuals can cast one vote for their favorite pup photo, and the winners will be announced on Friday, October 30. Winners will receive a custom Swarovski “heart” dog tag designed by Robert Sorrell of Sorrell Original, and all proceeds will be donated to PAWS NY!
