Full-Time Individual Giving Manager at PAWS NY

Job Title:
                 Individual Giving Manager (hybrid)
Reports to:               Executive Director
Compensation:      $50,000 to $60,000 (plus health, dental, vision, and flexible work environment)

PAWS NY is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that helps New York City’s most vulnerable residents to remain with their pets by delivering critical programs and services through a community of partners and volunteers. We focus on helping low-income older adults, individuals with disabilities, and individuals suffering from illness. PAWS NY is hiring an Individual Giving Manager to join our small and passionate team of five. The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for managing, cultivating, and growing our donor-base of individual supporters with the goal in enhancing connection to and support of our organization. This is a hybrid role with one to two days in the office per week.

Primary Responsibilities

Individual Giving (75%)

  • Ensure that fundraising is conducted through a racial inclusion and equity lens consistent with the organization’s commitment for its donor community to more accurately reflect the community in which we serve
  • Develop and implement a plan aimed at growing our individual donor base
  • Maintain, grow, and formalize our Constant Companion monthly giving program
  • Manage and grow our annual fund, including planning and executing our Giving Tuesday, holiday, and other online fundraising campaigns
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify opportunities and content for appeals
  • Cultivate and steward mid-level donors through personalized communication
  • With Director of Communications, draft content for e-appeals

Database Management and Administration (15%)

  • Manage donor database within Salesforce to track gifts and aid in donor stewardship
  • Utilize database to track metrics such as donor retention rate to help prioritize individual donor groups and outreach strategy
  • Ensure timely processing of donor acknowledgements

Other Responsibilities (10%)

  • Provide support to Executive Director and Director of Communications for annual spring benefit and other fundraising events as needed
  • Attend professional development events throughout the year to both enhance knowledge and connect with peers in the field
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as specified by ED


  • A commitment and desire to co-develop and co-implement DEI initiatives alongside the full PAWS NY staff and board
  • Minimum of two (2) years of digital fundraising experience, with a focus on individual donor cultivation
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
  • A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects and completing tasks on time
  • A love of animals and a commitment to our mission
