Housecall Program
Our flagship program provides ongoing in-home
pet care support for low income New Yorkers
who have impaired mobility.
If you are living with an illness or disability and you are struggling with the day-to-day care of your pet, then PAWS NY might be able to assist.
The Housecall Program is our core program through which PAWS NY volunteers provide on-site home visits to our participants. Visits generally include:
- Dog walking
- Litter maintenance
- Medication administration
- Provision of food and water
- And more
Once someone becomes a member of the Housecall Program, PAWS NY is able to provide holistic, wrap-around pet care services as needed. Members of our Housecall Program also receive assistance with veterinary care, pet food and supplies, as well as foster care during medical emergencies.
Eligibility
PAWS NY helps New Yorkers who are facing advancing age, disability, or illness, which present obstacles to physically caring for their pets.
