Dog Cognition 101 with PetMinded

In early February, PAWS NY collaborated with PetMinded to present a workshop on Dog Cognition for PAWS volunteers. PetMinded, a community of dog parents who want science-backed insights to give their dogs a healthier and happier life, hosts events, courses, and community engagement that help paw-rents understand their dogs by making dog science accessible and actionable.

In this workshop (full video below), Laisuna Yu spoke about the definition of Dog Cognition and walked participants through a playful experiment with their pups, all with the goal of helping understand dogs’ perspectives. This can create stronger bonds, better training sessions, address behavioral issues, and more.

In addition to presenting the workshop, PetMinded also donated $1 to PAWS NY for every participant on the call. Thank you for your support and this fun and interesting event!
